Pancakes, Cheese, and Seal

What were some favorite meals at Framheim? The cook’s specialty was American pancakes. The team ate them for breakfast with jam. They also ate plenty of seal meat, canned fruit and cheese, bread, and butter.

Captain Scott’s Birthday Dinner

What's on the British Table?

The British team ate well—biscuits and jam, canned meats and canned vegetables. To drink, there was plenty of tea, along with coffee and cocoa. The men also hunted seal and penguins, which one called “splendid eating.”
