Location/Hours
The American Museum of Natural History is located at Central Park West and 79th Street in New York City.

The Museum is open daily, 10:00 a.m.—5:45 p.m.
The Rose Center remains remains open until 8:45 p.m. on the first Friday of every month.
The Museum is closed Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Admission
The Petra Exhibition closed at the American Museum of Natural History on July 6, 2004.

Petra Shop
Located on the fourth floor, adjacent to the Petra exhibition, The Petra Shop offers a wide selection of handicrafts from Jordan, produced in the ways of old but adapted to meet modern tastes. During the seasonal holiday period, an artisan will come from Jordan to hand-paint special glass ornaments on demand, inside the Main Shop. More...

Petra Café on 4
The Petra Café on 4 offers a menu of Middle Eastern cuisine featuring the national dish of Jordan and authentic Arabic coffees in conjunction with the new exhibition, Petra: Lost City of Stone. The Museum's Café on 4 has been transformed into a dining space filled with the aroma of traditional Bedouin Arabic coffee scented with cardamom. The Petra Café on 4 is open daily from 11:00 a.m. until 4:45 p.m., October 18, 2003-July 6, 2004. See the complete menu here.
