Asia contains more than a third of the land surface of the world and about two thirds of its population. Diverse and highly influential spiritual and cultural traditions such as Judaism, Buddhism, Christianity, Islam, and Hinduism were born in Asia. This diversity is reflected in the hall's dioramas: from a re-creation of a healing ceremony performed by an Eastern Siberia Yakut shaman, to an early century chinese bride in her highly ornamented wedding chair.
